One of the most common medical conditions that a person experiences during their teenage years is acne. Acne is basically a common human skin condition, which basically cause blemishes to break out on the skin. Acne, also sometimes called as zits is common amongst teenagers, but there have been cases where acne has been known to breakout even in middle aged people. Acne is basically a mixture of the dead cells, bacteria and sebum that settles below the hair follicle of the body.
Because acne is a skin ailment, and is directly visible, it has several effects on the person’s lifestyle and even mind set. Acne is usually caused due to the increase in male hormones in a person, which usually happens in both genders during adolescence.
There are several acne cures. Here are some of the ways to cure acne in a natural manner:
Look into your diet: If you wish to cure acne naturally, you should consider taking out all the greasy stuff from your diet. Fast food and other foodstuffs have ingredients that basically make the body unhealthy and therefore create a situation where dead cells become rampant. Also, you should drink a lot of water, as water is the chief ingredient for a healthy skin. A healthy skin is one of the most important aspects required to ensure that acne does not break out in the first place.
Skin Hygiene: Skin hygiene is another aspect that you should keep in mind if you wish to prevent and cure acne. The simplest skin hygiene that you can carry out is to wash your face and exposed skin with a natural soap before you leave home and after you come home. Of course, this does not mean that you need to scrub your skin really hard or even buy a plethora of skincare products, just a normal washing of the skin everyday will do.
Keep your face clean Whether or not you have acne, it’s important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin. Washing twice daily is not necessarily better; it may do more harm than good. Use warm, not hot, water and a mild facial cleanser.
Keep hair clean If excess oil in the hair travels to the skin, it can worsen acne. Regularly washing the hair may stop acne from developing, especially close to the hairline. Also, refrain from getting products such as hair gel or spray on the face.
These are just two of the many natural ways in which you can prevent acne.
