The inability to conceive can be a nightmare to parents intending to start and raise a family. Infertility can result from several factors, including obesity and other health problems like damaged fallopian tubes. Luckily, there are several treatments you can consider that can help you get pregnant, including embryo transfer. Recently, significant women have embraced embryo transfer Newport Beach due to its effectiveness. However, many women do not know what it takes to qualify for this procedure. Therefore, this article analyzes factors that make you a good candidate for embryo transfer.

    Fallopian Tube Damage

If your fallopian tubes are damaged or clogged, you are prone to infertility. A damaged or blocked fallopian tube can hinder sperm from reaching the egg. Besides, it can prevent the egg or zygote from traveling from the ovary to the uterus, where implantation occurs. To detect the concern, your doctor can have a view of the organ using a laparoscope inserted via an incision below the navel. If it exists, your doctor may recommend an embryo transfer, as becoming pregnant naturally may be difficult.

    Ovulation Disorders

Ovulation disorders are some popular risk factors for infertility in most women. They occur from complications with the regulation of reproductive hormones. Ovulation disorders cause disturbance in the production of an egg during a woman’s menstrual cycle. Hypothalamic dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome, and premature ovarian failure are some of the common factors that cause these disorders. When you experience these issues, you are likely to have irregular menstrual cycles, which indicate fewer eggs available for fertilization, increasing the complexity of getting pregnant.

    Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a common root of infertility. It is a painful disorder whereby the tissue lining inside the uterus grows outside the uterus. Usually, it entails the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and tissues lining the pelvis. It can contribute to fertility complications. As a result, your doctor may recommend embryo transfer to simply the process of getting pregnant.

    Uterine Fibroids

Uterine fibroids are common tumors among women. These tumors are more likely to occur in women experiencing fertility complications. Based on their location, they can lead to recurrent pregnancy loss and infertility. Luckily, embryo transfer is viable if you struggle to get pregnant due to uterine fibroids.

    Tubal Ligation

Tubal ligation is the procedure of controlling birth permanently. During the procedure, your fallopian tube is cut, tied, or clogged to mitigate pregnancy. The process hinders eggs from ovaries via the fallopian tubes. Besides, it blocks the sperm from traveling through the fallopian tubes to the egg. Therefore, if your fallopian tubes are cut or clogged, an embryo transfer can enable you to get pregnant successfully.

    Poor Sperm Motility

Poor sperm motility is one of the common causes of infertility among men in 1 out of 3 cases. A man who has poor sperm motility is called asthenozoospermia or asthenospermia. This condition causes sluggish or slow progressive motility. Fortunately, undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) to fertilize the egg can obtain a successful embryo for implantation.

Being unable to conceive due to health complications like damaged fallopian tubes, uterine fibroids, and tubal ligation can be a nightmare to most men and women. Fortunately, embryo transfer is an effective procedure that can help women get pregnant if they struggle with these problems. Therefore, if you are struggling to conceive, contact your doctor to confirm if you are a good candidate for embryo transfer.
